Embryonic test increases to 70% the success of gestation with In Vitro IVF Fertilization

A preimplantation genetic analysis (PGS) to rule out embryos with chromosomal abnormalities obtained by in vitro fertilization (IVF) allows to increase the pregnancy rate by 70% in the first attempt and have a healthy baby in less time, says IVI Panama.

A preimplantation genetic analysis (PGS) to rule out embryos with chromosomal abnormalities obtained by in vitro fertilization (IVF) allows to increase the pregnancy rate by 70% in the first attempt and have a healthy baby in less time, says IVI Panama.

He pointed out that traditionally, in the clinic the PGS test has been used to ensure the gestation of healthy babies and IVF in women older than 38 years, with ovarian problems or in the uterus, and with men who have a low sperm count.

The difference is that now both techniques are offered in a single procedure.

“We know that in women over 30 years of age the chances of pregnancy begin to fall drastically because the quality of the ovule is deteriorating, which makes the resulting embryo may be abnormal,” the specialist specified. However, he said that currently young women, in the decade of their 20s, are presenting problems to conceive changes in lifestyle and other diseases that occur early.
